The library has a vibrant collection of contemporary books related to Liberal Arts, Humanities, English, Literature, Social Sciences and Sciences including Computer Science. Currently, there are about 91492 books including about 39,124 books received from the personal collection.

Print Journals on Display

The library subscribes to the 35 popular journals & magazines in print form. They are physically available in the library for your reading.

The Classic / Rare Books

The library maintains a separate Classic / Rare Book section of about 850 books which are presently under controlled access, but details are available on the general library catalog. These books are mostly on English literature (including Keats and Shelley's collection donated by Prof. Kelvin Everest and Prof. Malabika Sarkar), history and biographies. The earliest book dates back to the year 1821.

Literature of India

Considering the multidisciplinary nature of subjects offered and the diverse interests of students, the library holds a modest collection of Indian literature, as mentioned below. These books comprise of contemporary collection in respective languages and are available for borrowing. Currently, these books are housed at the 2nd-floor library (Book Zone C).
