Plagiarism Check
Turnitin is a commercial, Internet-based plagiarism-detection service launched in 1997. HDFC library – Ashoka University has a license to use the software to check research papers, draft articles, students report, dissertations, project documents etc. against its database and the content of other websites with the aim of identifying plagiarism.
Currently access to this software is given to Ashoka faculty and researchers only.
INFLIBNET Centre is providing DrillBit-Extreme ‘Plagiarism Detection Software’ to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) under the ShodhShuddhi Programme from 1st October 2023 onwards.

Reference and Citation Management
The Web of Science (WoS, previously known as Web of Knowledge) is a paid-access platform that provides (typically via the internet) access to multiple databases that provide reference and citation data from academic journals, conference proceedings, and other documents in various academic disciplines. It was originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information. It is currently owned by Clarivate.
Mendeley is a free reference manager and an academic social network. Manage your research, showcase your work, connect and collaborate. To use Mendeley you will need to register for the first time. It is free and fast.

Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you to collect, organize, cite, and share research. Libraries are backed up online allowing sharing between computers and even multiple users. Zotero makes it easy to keep your reference library organised and ‘clean’. Reference libraries are compatible with other reference management programs, and difficulties can be quickly addressed via online forums.
Research Paper Discovery
CORE Discovery is the largest collection of Open Archive papers and it helps users find freely accessible copies of research papers that might be behind a pay wall on the publisher’s website. It harvests research papers from data providers from all over the world including institutional and subject repositories, open access and hybrid journal publishers.
CORE currently contains 135,539,113 open access articles, from over tens of thousands of journals, collected from 9,646 data providers around the world.
