Mobile Library Services

The villages of Haryana have quite a striking educational set-up. Communities with low income face higher challenges in educating their children especially when it comes to library resources and other literary activities which are essential for their learning and development.

Mobile library service is one of the many ways, Ashoka University is serving the local community . Thanks to the donors (M/s Small Steps Foundation (USA), M/s  World Reader, and Society for All Round Development) we have a fully equipped mobile Library van fitted with a large screen, tablets loaded with stories & eBooks, teaching aids, etc. Currently this initiative is driven by the library and Registrar office by regularly sending staff and volunteering students to organize TV sessions, Story telling sessions, learning through games, quiz competition, fun drawing, and the like..

Currently mobile library covers schools in below mentioned six villages and makes a minimum of two visits per month.
