Qn 2 :  How to check the availability of a book in our library?
Ans :  Go to search button in library catalogue, use the drop down menu to select the parameters (title, author, subject etc.) and you will get the list available in the library.
Qn 3 : How can we search a book physically from the stacks?
Ans : Books are arranged sequentially from 000 to 999 on the stacks. Once you get the call number of the book from library catalogue, search accordingly. Library staff will be happy to help you.
Qn 4 : How many books we can take and for how long can keep them with us?

Qn 5 : What is the procedure of registration in the library?
Ans : Registration is simple and one time process, bring your ID card and contact the library counter.
Qn 6 : How can we access vernacular language books in our library?
Ans : Vernacular books (Hindi, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Punjabi and Gujarati) are kept on 2nd floor library and it can be searched through main catalogue and are ready for borrowing.
Qn 7 : Are DVDs in the library also cataloged?
Ans : Yes, it is cataloged like other documents and can be borrowed.
Qn 8 : Is my personal book allowed inside the library?
Ans : Yes off course.
Qn 9 : Where are dictionaries, handbooks and other reference books kept?
Ans : All references books are kept the side shelves along the path way.
Qn 10 : Is there any way to get the book which is not  in our  library ?
Ans : Yes we can arrange to borrow from other libraries, please contact library staff for assistance.
Qn 11 : Can we borrow newspapers and magazines?
Ans : No, you can only browse inside the library.

Ans : Yes,  you can suggest and mark a enquiry to your faculty/ professors.

Ans :  Koha is our library management software, where you search all the documents available in our library.

Ans : Please refer to database list which gives access right and login credentials.
Qn 16 : Do I need to come to library to access databases?
Ans : Worth not. Resources of the database can be accessed from anywhere |anytime| any device. Only for few resources with limited access you will have come to the library. For full details click here
Qn 17 : How to request articles, reports, theses etc. which are not in the library?
